Aimhigher

Raising achievement and developing aspirations are crucial to enabling students to make the most of their opportunities in education. Our Aimhigher projects explore the variety of options available to students after GCSEs. Through a lively combination of drama, comedy, music and dance we take students on a motivational journey of discovery. We demystify the array of courses and qualifications and signpost directions for help, support and guidance. Whether their future lies in vocational learning, higher education or in seeking a job with training we offer the opportunity to explore solutions and make informed choices.

Our Aimhigher projects can cover any of the following learning objectives:

  Promoting all post-16 learning options

Emphasising that there are different ways of learning and courses that suit all

  learning styles

Identifying the parity of esteem between different progression routes

Highlighting access routes into Higher Education

Stressing the importance of taking ownership of the decision-making process

Reinforcing the importance of making individual choices that are right for you

Signposting sources of support and guidance in person and online

This project links directly with National Curriculum guidance on Careers Education and dovetails with National Curriculum aims and guidelines for PSHEE.
