Recognising personal responsibility and our place in society is a crucial element of understanding what constitutes
anti-social behaviour. Challenging students to look beyond their own needs and situations enables us to help them acknowledge accountability and understand how their behaviour affects the world around them.
“When push comes to shove” is a show that highlights escalating acts of anti-social behaviour, their causes and their consequences. Through the following interactive workshop and scheme of teaching materials students are encouraged to understand:
the effects anti social behaviour can have on the individual and those around them
the consequences of anti-social behaviour
the risks taken by those who partake in ASB and the dangers they subject others to
the issues of self esteem and peer pressure
This project is designed for Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3. It links directly with National Curriculum aims and guidelines for PSHEE: Personal Wellbeing and Citizenship.
