NEET Prevention

Performance in Education is proud to offer an interactive, fun and effective tool for reducing the number of students in danger of becoming NEET. Being NEET is an enormous waste of a young person’s potential and we are committed to helping students reach a successful and fulfilling future.

Our NEET Prevention programme consists of a series of performances and interactive workshops over the course of a school day. During these sessions students will investigate and challenge the attitudes and misconceptions that can lead to becoming NEET by:

Self assessing their skills and attitudes

Evaluating and practising their employability skills

Investigating and assessing their learning styles

Having accurate and appropriate information about future learning and training routes

Being motivate to envisage a positive and successful future for themselves

All of these interactions and events are designed to be fun and inclusive so students feel enthused and motivated. By challenging and motivating students in this way we are able to make a positive and sustainable change.

Our NEET Prevention project has been designed to address issues and guidance within the DfE NEET strategy. It also fulfils the National Curriculum requirements in PSHEE, Citizenship and Careers Guidance.
